*Will the event be held at a location other than your building? If so, make the reservations well in advance. The holiday season is a very busy time for restaurants and party centers.
*Establish your guest count. Will this event be for employees only or will it include their spouses. Order invitations as RSVP cards.
*Will there be a cocktail hour? Serving dinner? (buffet or sit down) Will a seating chart need to be arranged and if so, order place cards.
*Ask if awards will be given. Talk with your supervisor and with the person or team that coordinated the event in previous years. If so, will you be responsible for selecting the awards and getting them ordered?

These are just a few of the details that will need to be covered. Don’t become overwhelmed and frustrated. Organization is the key to successful planning.
